Talk:Zombie Master
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This looks like a blatant copy-paste from the official website to me. Definitely needs cleanup and NPOV. The mod's recently been mentioned in a Steam update and appears to be above Sven Co-op in the Steam rankings, but I'm not sure what the point of this article would even be. --88.109.184.131 08:34, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Changed
I just added new info regarding weapons. The rifle, not the shotgun, is arguable the most wanted weapon, so I deleted that phrase. Intranetusa (talk) 04:56, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
I cleared and started re-writing this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alex132 (talk • contribs)
[edit] Notability
This article reads like an advertisement. There is no establishment of notability, such as this mod being the subject of an objective third-party commentary. All together, while well-intentioned but lacking a rationale for inclusion here. Please cite third-party sources/commentary in references by the end of the weekend, otherwise I will nominate this article for deletion. --EEMeltonIV 16:10, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
- At the time of writing it is currently the most popular half-life 2 mod according to GameSpy.com

- I see it fourth on that list, although I suppose the bundled Counter-Strike mod is understandably more popular being in more people's hands. Regardless, the article itself needs to have text and citations explaining its notability. --EEMeltonIV 00:44, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Notability seems to be achieved as far as I can tell. One offline publication mention is already in the article and a second wrote up a review apparently but the edit adding this information was nixed by a stupidly designed wiki bot. (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Zombie_Master&diff=139012005&oldid=139011988 ) Two offline publications writing up the mod is more than enough notability for Wikipedia's standards, as well as the number of online reviews, mod awards, and popularity. 71.185.136.235 11:03, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cleaning Article Up
I'm going to start cleaning the article up so I'm going to ask it not be flagged for deletion anytime soon as I gather sources and more. Asceth 19:47, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

- I have deleted gameplay info not needed for the article and added a reference with background information as well as another notable mention. If Black_Mesa_(game_mod) can keep their article clean then we can too (directed towards ZM players). I would like for EEMeltonIV to comment back or another "mod" watching this article before we do anything else or at least tell us what it needs. Asceth 20:34, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
It's starting to shape up now, I guess. I note that the games playercount ([1], select "view detailed statistics by game") currently shows that it's above the likes of Sven Co-op, Dystopia, and even Dark Messiah- whis is an actual commercial title. --88.111.11.23 16:07, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
