[edit] CB edits

I don't know if breaking up sentences with several clauses into two or three simple sentences with one clause each, and deleting all the connecting words ("but", "however", "therefore", "nevertheless" etc.) always results in an improvement of style... AnonMoos 13:33, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Crusades, linings

It's not a "non-sequitur" -- people imagine a crusader or soldier going off for an extended period, and taking the key with him. That really wouldn't have worked too well. Metals other than gold, silver, and modern stainless steel don't give good results when pressed directly against the skin for a long time. Hence the padded linings. I think that talking about ancient CB linings interrupted the train of thought on myths between "There is no evidence of CBs...." to "The first mention of CBs....". The pre-20th Century also belongs temporally closer to "1700s through 1930s" --zabadoh 06:54, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
