[edit] Founders and founding year
Until today, this article said the label started in 1982. I see many other bios on the web that say 1983. Even the Trevor Horn article says 1983. I've changed it to 1983 unless someone can prove otherwise. Also, this article said it was Horn, Sinclair and Paul Morley that started the label, but I've seen references that say it was Horn, Sinclair and Gary Langan. [1] I've gone ahead and added Langan to the list but did not remove Morley, as I really don't know the details. — mjb 03:25, 6 May 2005 (UTC)
Paul Morley may not have had an ownership stake (i simply don't know) in ZTT, but he was vital to the promotional efforts of the label and was undoubtedly involved in its conception, I vote that he stays as a founder. Also, though it simply bears little import, ABC's career was in no way limited to New Romantic offerings. I labelled the band Northern Soul in addition after seeing this usage elswhere. Northern Soul can refer to bands following such music as inspiration just as it can refer to the music and culture itself.--Tednor 01:43, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- I agree, it's doing a disservice to call ABC any one thing in particular (except maybe "pop group"), but this should be taken up on the ABC (band) article's discussion page. They're characterized there as New Romantic. On the ABC disambiguation page they're called New Wave. You might consider phrases like "in the tradition of" or "<whatever>-style" or "<whatever>-influenced" or "<whatever>-associated". Good luck. —mjb 02:10, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Discussion group link
Someone keeps posting an unoffical site into the page The Alternate ZTT Boards - which breaks the Wikipedia rules. Please remove it BRIANTIST (talk) 16:24, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
I dont understand, I keep changing the URL to the current location
http://www.frankie-say.de/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl
and Briantist changes it back to
http://www.frankie-say.de/hinweis.html
which is the old link. In fact if you follow this old link, you will see a link to the new URL
curiously though, in this talk section, the URL quoted is the correct one.
