Zena Tsarfin

Zena Tsarfin first broke into the publishing industry as an intern for the magazine High Times at the tender age of 19 and despite that still managed to graduate cum laude with dual degrees in Journalism and Political Science from Brooklyn College.

After graduation, Tsarfin went on to work briefly as an Assistant Editor at Marvel Comics, eventually returning to High Times and becoming its Managing Editor. From 2001 to 2005, she served as Managing Editor of the acclaimed hip-hop magazine XXL. Her written work has appeared in Revolver, Alternative Press, Terrorizer, Guitar World, High Times and Playgirl.

In June 2005, she was named Managing Editor of CRACKED, a national humor magazine where she remained until March 2006. That same month, she returned to High Times for her third tour of duty at the Green Machine.

In January 2007, Ms. Tsarfin moved to Atlanta, GA for a managing editor position at Super Deluxe, Turner Broadcasting's new broadband comedy network. She continues to write and edit for print.
