[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hey there, Zackster149, and welcome to our great encyclopedia, which currently has more than 2,410,627 articles! Even with this large number, all of your contributions are important (including the small ones), and I hope you like the place and decide to stay! Here's a few starting tips for you:
- You might want to check out the welcome page.
- Then you can have a look at our guidelines.
- After that, you can see here for a cheatsheet on editing pages (for a bigger list, see here).
After reading all this (or even just glimpsing at it), I can understand that you might feel apprehensive about editing and contributing articles, for fear of making a mistake. But don't worry too much about mistakes; after all, you're new. Instead, everyone here encourages you to be bold! If you need help with anything, feel free to leave me a message, or you can put {{helpme}} on your talk page, and someone will show up shortly to give you a hand.
One last thing: when leaving a message on someone's talk page, don't forget to put four "tildes" (~~~~) to automatically sign your name.
Happy Editing! -- P.B. Pilhet / Talk 23:42, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Rob Astor
The two main problems with this article- the resons it will probably get deleted- are that: 1) the article is highly point-of-view and in direct violation of WP:NPOV. At this point, the article is basically an advertisement, which are prohibited on WP. And 2) the article does not cite reliable sources that talk about Astor or his accomplishments. If you can provide these, please do so as quickly as possible. Best of luck, and happy editing! -- Kicking222 15:05, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Rob Astor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —Pilotguy (ptt) 02:13, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
