Zygote In My Coffee is a popular underground independent print and online magazine dealing mostly in experimental poetry[1] although it has published content that includes short fiction, social commentary, political rants, one act plays, erotica, and comic strips.[2] The magazine was started in San Jose, California in December 2003 by cartoonist Brian Fugett. Currently Zygote In My Coffee is published out of Kettering, Ohio.[3] In 2006 Zygote published its first print edition and has since published four editions.[4] Zygote has published hundreds of underground authors and poets including Zachary C. Bush, RC Edrington, Jack T. Marlowe, Tony O’Neill, Rob Plath, Owen Roberts, and Karl Koweski. Zygote In My Coffee published it's 100th Online issue in 2008. [5]
