The Zords used in the television series Power Rangers: Zeo were created by Zordon and Trey of Triforia. They were kept in a hangar for most of the time, until they were needed for battle. The Zeozords are, as of now, the only set of Zords completely intact. meaning none of them were destroyed.

[edit] Zeozords

The Zeozords were the primary Zords of the Zeo Rangers. In Power Rangers: Zeo, with the Ninjazords and Shogunzords disabled, the new Zeozords had to be built. Billy Cranston and Alpha 5 worked on these new Zords, which were based on creatures/structures from mythology.

  • Zeozord V: Piloted by Tommy, it was based on the Phoenix.
  • Zeozord IV: Piloted by Adam, it was based on Taurus the Bull.
  • Zeozord III: Piloted by Rocky, it was based on the Sphinx.
  • Zeozord II: Piloted by Tanya, it was based on the Dogu.
  • Zeozord I: Piloted by Katherine, it was based on the Moai.

In battle, Taurus the Bull towed Zeozord II, and Sphinx towed Zeozord I. Tommy, as leader of the team, flew over the other Zords to oversee the battle. After obtaining the Super Zeozords, which contained far more functionality, the Zeozords rarely saw combat. The Zeozords still lie dormant in their containment hangar in the mountains.

There's a popular rumor about a mini-episode called "Scorpion Rain" showing the Zeozords' destruction in a battle with Zedd and Goldar in Serpentera (the last time Zedd used Serpentera in battle). The rumor states that the Zeozords (but not the Super Zeozords, Red Battlezord, or Pyramidas) were destroyed in a battle with Serpentera, then the Super Zeo Ultrazord was formed to dole out heavy damage to Serpentera, forcing Zedd to retreat and never again use Serpentera. This was to explain why they needed the new Turbo powers and why Zedd and Rita ceased their attacks. The episode Forever Red, which uses a line said to be taken verbatim from Scorpion Rain (Tommy's line "Aw man, that is one ugly zord" in reference to Serpentera). The episode has since been proven to be a hoax, meaning that the actual fate of the Zeozords remains a mystery in Power Rangers canon.

[edit] Zeo Megazord

The five Zeozords could combine into the Zeo Megazord; Zeo Zords I and II formed the lower legs, IV formed the upper legs and pelvic region, III formed the arms and upper body, and V formed the head, back of the torso and default helmet. However unlike previous Megazords it could access different powers depending on which Zeozord's Battle Helmet was attached. The most common formation had Zeo V Battle Helmet at the head, but five arrangements were possible, depending on which Ranger the story revolved around in that episode. It was armed with the Zeo Megazord Saber, which could charge up for an energy slash.

  • Zeo V Battle Helmet (from Zeozord V) accessed Zeo Megazord mode; the standard helmet. The Zeo Megazord Saber could only be summoned with this helmet.
  • Zeo IV Battle Helmet (from Zeozord IV) accessed Zeo Gravity Power. This helmet possessed a pair of long horns that fired lightning bolts and were used to batter the enemy into submission, and could also neutralize any gravity field affecting the Megazord, as it was used to break free of the Sun's gravitational pull when Silo tossed the Megazord into the Sun.
  • Zeo III Battle Helmet (from Zeozord III) access Zeo Pyramid Power. This helmet gave the Megazord telekinesis. It could lift up a monster in its ray and drop it to the ground.
  • Zeo II Battle Helmet (from Zeozord II) accessed Zeo Rocket Mode. This helmet had a pair of side-mounted laser cannons that shot fast, powerful shots. It could also be used as rocket boosters in space.
  • Zeo I Battle Helmet (from Zeozord I) accessed Zeo Cannon Mode. This helmet had one big cannon on top that launched a powerful blast of energy.

[edit] Red Battlezord

The Red Battlezord was created by Billy Cranston using Battle Borg technology he acquired from the Aquitian Rangers. As a result, the Zord had to be piloted by Tommy Oliver, the Red Zeo Ranger, using telepathy. Tommy, going through emotional turmoil at the time, found this hard at first yet succeeded when he learned to see the Battlezord as an extension of himself. The Red Battlezord has no sword or other handheld weapons, but is equipped with two sets of six laser blasters, one on each forearm.

The Red Battlezord is modeled after a boxer, right down to the zeo-emblem being designed into a championship-belt. Unfortunately, its telepathy-based technology proved to make it more a danger than a help. When Tommy's mind was altered to make him unable to speak outside of singing, he was unable to pilot the Red Battlezord. As a temporary solution, the control system was altered to allow Zeo Ranger IV/Adam to pilot it. Unfortunately, this temporary solution did not hold, and it went berserk again.

Note: Although at first Zeo Ranger III/Rocky, was supposedly second in command to Zeo Ranger V/Tommy, Zeo Ranger IV/Adam was chosen to pilot the Red Battlezord over Zeo Ranger III/Rocky because in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger, the Green Ranger's Super Sentai counterpart is actually second in command. Also when Jason returned, he unofficially took over as second-in-command making the issue of who was higher rank between Adam and Rocky irrelevant to the situation.

The Red Battlezord still lies dormant in the Zeozord Holding Bay.

[edit] Zeo MegaBattlezord

The Battlezord could combine with the Zeo Megazord to form the Zeo MegaBattlezord. The combination sequence depended on the Red Battlezord and thus Tommy's clear thinking. Billy attempted to devise a bypass to this system when Tommy found it difficult to combine the Zords due to personal reasons, but eventually Tommy succeeded. The Zeo Megazord lost some of its mobility while in this mode, so it was often used as a fixed-turret.

[edit] Pyramidas

Pyramidas was the enormous pyramid-shaped spaceship piloted by Trey of Triforia and later Jason. Pyramidas was also the Zeo Carrierzord. It could change into a humanoid shape which dwarfed the already giant monsters it fought, and was also integral to forming the Zeo Ultrazord. Pyramidas could also house the Super Zeo Megazord inside its massive structure, and with the Red Battlezord form the Super Zeo Ultrazord (although not named as such on screen). When Trey recovered his Gold Ranger powers, he reclaimed Pyramidas and returned to Triforia. Pyramidas was almost twice as tall as a Megazord in pyramid form, or about the same height as the Supertrain Megazord in Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue. It could fire golden lightning blasts.

[edit] Zeo Ultrazord

Could be formed in two ways, either Carrier Mode or Warrior Mode. In Carrier Mode, all six Zords stood on top of the elongated structure of Pyramidas. Carrier Mode was only used in the episode "Rangers of Two Worlds, Part One" when the Zeo Rangers teamed up with the Alien Rangers. It moved much faster than the Warrior Mode, which was first used in the episode "A Small Problem". In Warrior Mode, Pyramidas stood up on its side, and the Zeozords moved inside. The Red Battlezord stood on Pyramidas' back, its cannon arms overhanging Pyramidas. In either case, the Zeo Ultrazord utilized the combined power of all seven Zords. In Warrior Mode, the Zeo Ultrazord stood up to four times taller than Megazord sized monsters and probably weighed twenty-five times as much or more. It could fire massive amounts of energy.

[edit] Super Zeozords

Before Trey of Triforia left Earth, he gave the Rangers a gift which he had protected for a millennia - the Super Zeo Gems. These gems allowed access to the Super Zeozord fleet, with each Zord resembling humanoid robots. They can fly and go underwater. They could fire energy blasts from the emblem on their torso. Each Zord had access to a giant version of the weapon their respective Ranger used. The Super Zeozords are now dormant in the Zeozord hangar. They were also compatible with Pyramidas, forming the Super Zeo Ultrazord.

  • Super Zeozord V: Piloted by Tommy, it had a star-shaped torso (the top point made up the "head").
  • Super Zeozord IV: Piloted by Adam, it had a square torso.
  • Super Zeozord III: Piloted by Rocky, it had a triangular torso.
  • Super Zeozord II: Piloted by Tanya, it had a torso of two oblongs.
  • Super Zeozord I: Piloted by Katherine, it had a circular torso.

[edit] Super Zeo Megazord

The Super Zeo Zords can combine to form the Super Zeo Megazord. It is armed with twin sabers, which could launch a blade shaped energy projectile that was strong enough to defeat King Mondo. Super Zeozord 1 formed the feet, Super Zeo Zord 2 formed the arms, head, and shoulders, Super Zeo Zord 3 formed the waist and upper legs, Super Zeo Zord 4 formed the lower legs, and Super Zeo Zord 5 formed the chest. The Super Zeo Megazord stood roughly twice as tall as a Megazord-sized monster.

[edit] Warrior Wheel

While Pyramidas was being repaired on Triforia, Trey sent Jason the Warrior Wheel to aid them in battle. The Warrior Wheel has two forms: a giant attacking wheel that can be thrown by the Megazords, or a Megazord form of its own resembling an american football player. When used in battle, it would be thrown in its wheel form by the Megazord, and after building up enough energy, would transform into Zord mode to strike at the enemy, destroying it (similar to the Ninja Megafalconzord from MMPR). The Warrior Wheel was either reclaimed by the Gold Ranger or still lies dormant in the Zeozord Holding Bay.
