Zvue

ZVUE is a brand of portable media player designed and marketed by ZVUE Corporation.
The ZVUE is similar to the video iPod and works on the MPEG-4 video standard for video, MP3 standard for audio (in addition to OGG Vorbis) and the JPEG or BMP standard for images.
It supports the WMV standard for video and the WMA Windows Media Audio standard for audio around, including DRM so that legal licensed content from almost all non-apple media download sites can be played. The usual ZVUE costs about $100.
The ZVUE media player is sold in more than 2,200 Wal-Mart stores throughout the U.S. and is also available online.
Storage Device
The ZVUE Media players use MMC/SD/SDHC Cards and support up to 16 GB.

The ZVUE 200A is the original ZVUE media player from ZVUE Corporation that was released in 2006. It is 4.33” tall, 2.91” wide, and 1.1” thick with a weight of Approx. 5 oz. It has a 2.5 inch screen at a 160 x 234 resolution and two Earphone jacks. It takes four "AA" alkaline batteries that last up to 8 hours. The model 200A is a USB 1.1 compatible Device. The player supports MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, and MP2 audio formats and plays AVI (MPEG4), ASF, and WMV with DRM videos at up to 320 x 240. It also can view JPEG and BMP photos. The SD/MMC cardslot on this device supports up to 4 gigabytes. It sports a 200 mhz Motorola i.MXL Dragonball MX-1 Processor (Model: MC9328MXLVH20).

The ZVUE Model 250 is the second ZVUE media player from ZVUE Corporation. It was released in the fall of 2006. The model 250 is a black, slimmer version of the model 200A with a built in Lithium-Ion battery that lasts 4-6 hours. It is 4.33” tall, 2.91” wide, and 0.8” thick with a weight of Approx. 4.2 oz. It has a 2.5 inch screen at a 160 x 234 resolution and two Earphone jacks. The player supports MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, and MP2 audio formats and plays AVI (MPEG4), ASF, and WMV with DRM videos at up to 320 x 240. It also can view JPEG and BMP photos.

The ZVUE 260 was announced by ZVUE Corporation on January 16th, 2007 and released on July 17, 2007. At 4.16- X 2.4- X 0.5-inches and 3.93 ounces, the ZVUE 260 PMP is comparable to the video iPod in thickness (6/100ths of an inch longer and 7/100ths of an inch thicker), yet weighs close to an ounce less (3.98 ounces versus 4.8 ounces, respectively). The ZVUE 260 is also the smallest and lightest ZVUE yet.
The ZVUE 260 features a 2.5-inch screen and supports videos running at up to 30 frames per second (fps) at resolutions of up to 320 x 240 pixels. The ZVUE 260 is also the first ZVUE player to feature a built-in audio speaker.
The ZVUE 260 comes with a preloaded 1 GB SD card.
The ZVUE 260 was also featured on episode #129 of DL.TV (Digital Life Television).

In Fall of 2006 HandHeld entertainment released the ZVUE Portable MP3 Player. It plays MP3 and WMA audio and has 512 MB built in memory.
