I removed your {{prod}} of Dragonskin Body Armor, as you gave no reason. I redirected the page to another page about the same product; this seems like a notable and interesting product. As a newcomer, I recommend that you not use {{prod}} if you want an article deleted; instead, see the process at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Proposed deletion is for non-controversial deletions, and it's better if you get some experience with the deletion process before using it.
Again, welcome! Mangojuicetalk 03:41, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm, the redirect was already there, sorry about the lack of reason, but it was not that I hadn't read any of the material on AfD, but rather that I mis-clicked... Also, I wasn't aware that it was a 'controversial' article, seeing as only one person had ever commented on that specific subject, and they obviously had not gone to the effort of their own research within Wikipedia on whether it existed. I did look around a bit on the subject, as I did not know which templates to use, sorry if I used the wrong one? I'll look into that a bit more.
I'm sure that for the sake of a sore hand, it will be a bit before I do any more editing ;) Sorry. Oh yes, and... Zasz 03:51, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- What I mean by "controversial" is that the deletion of the article might be controversial. I don't think the contents of the article are controversial; that's something else entirely. Generally speaking, articles that are clearly spam or vanity articles of people that aren't notable, or of websites that aren't notable are the kinds of pages that are very uncontroversial to delete. If you hang around WP:AFD for a while, you'll get the idea of what kind of articles get deleted without any controversy. Mangojuicetalk 05:03, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

- Yes, this is what I meant as well. I was not aware the deletion of the article was controversial... It was one sentence long, with no further comment from the author, in a situation where there was already a very informative page on the subject.
- Does this not qualify as spam?Zasz 20:01, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
