Bold textThe Legend

By the age of 3, Zachary and his parents packed up and moved to San Francisco, California where his love for football blossomed. At the age of 12 he attended his first football game at Candlestick Park where the hometown 49ers took on the visiting New Orleans Saints. In the second half with the 49ers trailing 49ers Quarterback Steve Young went down after a hard hit from defensive tackle La'Roi Glover, rookie quarterback Jim Druckenmiller would be called in.
With the fans all but out of the game young Zachary Antonelli wouldn't give up. With the 49ers driving he attempted to get a wave going but had no success...a "LETS GO NINERS" chant also failed...but when it looked like all hope was lost Zachary had one trick left in his bag...a hot dog. With hot dog rapidly waving in hand he used what he had left of his voice and started chanting "NINERS". Fans quickly took notice of this young energized fan and they too started waving their hot dogs and joined in the chant. With 1:32 on the clock and the fans roaring, Jim Druckenmiller would lead the 49ers down the field and throw the only touchdown pass of his career to put the 49ers up by 6 with only :06 to go.
Since that day the hot dog waving has become a the 49ers rally cry. It put Zachary Antonelli down in history and hot dog sales up by 240% at Candlestick.
