[edit] Wikipedia Politics
I am very much the same. I prefer to keep my head down and make edits where I seem them fit. I wouldn't worry too much about the politics aspect of Wikipedia. Most the rulings are only really to deal with users who seek controversy/conflict. You can vote on these matters if you wish (and assuming you have the criteria they demand), but they are far from mandatory. You certainly won't be looked down upon for not involving yourself in this kind of thing either. The most cherished users of Wikipedia are those who contribute decent information, and try to maintain a NPOV around the place. However, there will probably be some point at which you get dragged into the drama. This happened to me over an article that contained 'private' information about a website, which along with many others I supported the removal of. However, there were many users who claimed the material was encylcopedic, thus there was somewhat of a conflict. The only advice I can offer in this situation is to keep cool and don't let it get to you. I wish I'd done this!
Feel free to remove my welcome message any time you want, along with the opentasks if you would rather focus on a different area of Wikipedia. I seem to alternate between janitorial work (i.e. cleaning up and wikifying articles and tagging images), contributing to articles, and trying to stop trouble makers (by reverting vandalism and tagging nonsense articles for deletion). - Trampled is correct. If you don't want to contribute in a certain field you don't have to. Arbitration and such are in place to deal with problem users. As long as you keep your nose clean they won't bother you. Remember, Wikipedia is supposed to be fun! :) Mgm|(talk) 10:40, Apr 7, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Puckle_Gun.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Puckle_Gun.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Hi Zero37, yes sure happy to answer any questions. See also Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels. BTW living in China sounds very cool, must be a fascinating experience with how rapidly things are changing. -- Stbalbach 14:39, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
