[edit] Fair use rationale for Zenith (comics)
This image of the main character of the comic strip Zenith, Zenithbook1.jpg is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (Hiding Talk) feel it is covered by our fair use policy and the U.S. fair use laws because:
- it is a low resolution copy of a cover to the first collection of the series;
- it does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the comic strip story itself or representations of the cover in any way;
- copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the cover artwork in another comic book or cover collection;
- the image is significant because it is by the artistic developer, Steve Yeowell;
- the image illustrates the character of the comic strip in question, and as such is discussed in the article;
- the image allows the reader to understand the nature of the character and the work;
- the image illustrates points made within the article regarding the artistic style used within the work
