Zaragozic acid

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Zaragozic Acids are a family of potent squalene synthase inhibitors and therefore inhibitors of cholesterol synthesis [1]. There were originally three Zaragozic acids, A, B, and C isolated from an unidentified sterile fungal culture, Sporormiella intermedia, and Leptodontium elatius, respectively [2]
