Zhang Xiaorui (simplified Chinese: 张效瑞) (born March 5, 1976 in Tianjin) is a Chinese professional footballer and manager currently working for Tianjin Tuanbo New City. In his early career , he was sent to Brazil for a five-year training programme sponsored by Jianlibao. In 1997, Zhang was one of four players called up from the Jianlibao Youth Team for the final round of FIFA World Cup qualification by Qi Wusheng, the coach of the Chinese national team along with Li Jinyu, Li Tie and Sui Dongliang. At 2008, he was hired by a player-manager of Chinese Yi League club Tianjin Tuanbo New City.
