[edit] Merging THE SHOW with ZE FRANK

  • Oppose - Although The Show was originally started by Ze Frank I believe it took on a life of its own and became not only Ze's show but all the sports racers' show. The show is not who Ze Frank is and it should not be merged with his page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.178.119.78 (talk) 01:27, 5 May 2007 (UTC).
  • Oppose - I don't think this article should be merged. The show is but one project of a large number that Ze Frank was involved with, albeit a very popular project. Would an article about a book, such as The God Delusion be merged in with the article on the author, Richard Dawkins. And the show contains a good deal more content than any book. -Vikram 24.210.70.8 04:00, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
  • Oppose - A more accurate allusion would be: Do you merge I Love Lucy and Lucille Ball? No. No you don't. The Show with Ze Frank is merely a project that the person Ze Frank did. He has done others, as well. If all those were added to his WikiArticle, they'd then need to be segregated into separate articles. It would be a waste of resources and time.AltonBrownFTW 02:20, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Oppose - As far as I know Ze isn't dead - the show is - Ze will pop up again and was also responsible for stuff before the Show 02:20, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mention More elements of THE SHOW

Someone should mention: 1) The league of awesomeness, 2) Sports Racers, 3) Hard chargers, 4) Poop, 5) Are the new viewers gone yet, and 6) Sa-sa-sa-sa-sa-something from the comments. And maybe we should list some of the most awesome songs here, like Anti-Intellectualism.

Great idea. Go for it! --Nelson Ricardo 10:49, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
I agree, those would be great additions. Bekhardt 05:37, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Themes and gags change so quickly in the show that it may be hard to keep up. Ze throws off comic ideas and them moves on. Last week it was the Earth Sandwich project, this week he's doing odd things with the comments (the Magic Dumpster).

This stuff is best placed on the The show (blog) article that I created a week ago :) Courtarro 05:28, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Strongly agree. I added a brief mention of the show. The only relevance the show has to this article is how it relates to Ze himself. Happywaffle 16:44, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blinking

HE NEVER F**KING BLINKS. Add something about that.--Plankton5005 09:06, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

That's called editing and retakes. See the end of the show: 05-10-06 and the start of the show: 10-23-06. --Quiddity 09:24, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] more info

If anyone has more info about Ze and his work as a humorist (talks, teachings, etc.) they should be mentioned. I must admire Ze for staying so private yet being so public. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Javabeanrush (talkcontribs).

[edit] The org

I have removed the link to the org per Wikipedia:External_links#Sites_requiring_registration which states the following: A site that requires registration or a subscription should not be linked unless:

  • The web site itself is the topic of the article, or
  • It has relevant content that is of substantially higher quality than that available from any other website.

I don't believe the org satisfies either of these criteria. Also, I'm concerned that it goes against Links to avoid #3: Links mainly intended to promote a website. If you would like to readd the link, please explain your rationale. Thanks, Cacophony 18:25, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

The ORG does contain substantial information about the nature of the community that the show revolves around. I think it absolutely belongs in a discussion of the show with ze frank, since the major appeal of the show itself is the community that was created around it.24.210.70.8 03:57, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Link to a review site

Hi,

yesterday I deleted an external link from this article's page. It was a link to the page http://tilzy.tv/ . Specifically the tilzy-page on this article's topic. I came to the idea of deleting those links as such a link was also added to Ze Frank's wikipedia page, and I expected that there wouldn't be much new information on such an external site, as Ze Frank's show ended more than half a year ago.

I got a mail now by one of the founders of tilzy.tv. He explained to me relatively convincingly that he didn't post the link, and that he thinks of his site as adding extra information.

Whether or not we re-add this link should probably be based on Wikipedia:External_links.

I am actually not sure whether tilzy.tv is a

Sites that contain neutral and accurate material that cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to copyright issues,
amount of detail (such as professional athlete statistics, movie or television credits, interview transcripts, or online textbooks)
or other reasons.

Does someone else know this site?

My main concern was, that there should be several sites that aggregate links to vlogs. Even several sites that aggregate links and add write a small review about them. So I wasn't sure whether tilzy.tv is in someway special or provided better information.

Could maybe someone post his/her opinion on that, so we can decided whether or not to include the links to tilzy.tv.

Thanks, -- JanCK (talk) 09:57, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
