[edit] List of Assyrians

I have already addressed you about this issue. You cannot list one person 3 times on the same page - this does not make sense. And secondly, you can't list people who are not known to the Assyrian community - no names. In other words, you can't just list anybody. With regards. Chaldean 06:30, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

If a person is in several catagories as a "professional" in those catagories then they must stay. Some people do one thing only. Some do many. I do not think you represent the entirety of the Assyrian community. There are Assyrians that you may not know. I am not just arbitrarily listing people. If I've listed them, I think they deserve to be there and I also plan to follow up with their bios. This is about building not destroying Assyrians. User: Zayya 10:58:00 17 December 2006

If a person is in several catagories as a "professional" in those catagories then they must stay - You have to follow wikipedia guidelines. You can't just make your own rules. If a person does multiple things, then he should be put under what he or she is best known for. And another thing, you can't just list all of her family members. This is just silly. Chaldean 07:06, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm listing people that belong on this list. Do we then just list one person per family? Now you're being silly. I've also noticed that you've removed names of many legitimate authors and others for no aparent reason. Like I said before, stop making this personal. User: Zayya 17 December 2006

Zayya, you have been reported to the admins for breaking the 3RV Chaldean 07:39, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of Assyrians

I have already explained to you what you are doing wrong. 1. If your going to add 100 extra names on the list, then you better make an article for every single one of them. It doesn't make sense listing people on the list without having an article about them. Let me give you an example; The list had the name Kennedy Bakircioglü, but he did not have an article - thus being a red tag. I just recently made an article about him - Kennedy Bakircioglü, and now he is listed. You want to add names on the list? Then make an article about that person first, before adding his name. 2. You keep rving me alphabetizing them. In wikipedia list, we alphabetize with the first name, not the last name. 3. Finally, you can't add a person in the same list more then one time - again please see Wikipedia guidelines.

If you do not follow the rules, then I will have to report you once again and you will get a longer ban then 8 hours next time. Chaldean 19:08, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

John Warda, 1950 Bronze medalist in shot put in Iran - can you please tell me where did you get this from? Their were no 1950 Olympics. Only 1948, 1952, etc. Chaldean 01:17, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
I stand corrected. Sorry about the mixup. I went back to my research. I have a photo of him receiving his bronze medal form the Shah of Iran in 1950. It wasn't the Olympics. Nevertheless, John Warda was still Iran's champion bronze medalist and deserves an article. User Zayya: 18 December 2006
What was the event called? Do you know? Chaldean 01:53, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Every year the country held national competitions in track and field. The literal translation would be "Iran's Track and Field Competition of 1950." User Zayya: 18 December 2006

Ok I can't seem to locate this one either; Izarya Il-Khanoff, Boxer from Iran in 1964 Olympics - are you sure about the year? Chaldean 02:24, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

The year is correct according to the photo and inscription. However, it may be that the English spelling of his name is not correct. Izarya Il-Khanoff may be a phoenetic spelling, misspelling or he used a variation on the name at the games. Assyrian names are complex in translation. But I am certain of the date. What book is this your getting all this info from again? Chaldean 03:46, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Personal collection as well as a booklet that Assyrian Star published years ago that listed all the famous Assyrian Athletes and Olympians. User Zayya: 18 December 2006

[edit] Rosie Malek-Yonan‎

I was kind of confused by the presence of these links. I noticed a few were to Wikipedia pages - if you want to link to a Wikipedia page, a Wikilink would do the job better ("]]" after the name of the film and "[[" before). As for external links, it's not necessary to link to the IMDB page of every single film listed (and a few of the directors and actors involved). Wikipedia:External links can probably explain it better than I can, but more or less the only external (outside of Wikipedia) links that should be in the article are those referencing a particular fact or those that add something to the article. I added the wiki-link. The HTML looks like this ''[[Rendition (film)|Rendition]]'' - I hope that helps with the rest of the links. All Hallow's Wraith 06:45, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
