[edit] Fair use in heavy metal music
The image linked here is claimed by Wikipedia editor DCGeist to be used under fair use as:
- it is a screenshot from a DVD anthologizing historically significant television material;
- it is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality);
- the image is being used only for informational purposes; and
- its inclusion adds significantly to the article because it represents (a) the most seminal and the first commercially successful band in the genre, (b) their establishment of a particular visual style involving fashion and performance, and (c) the rapidity with which the genre became internationalized.
