Zirab

Zirab (also Zirab,Zir-ab, Persian زیراب - Zīrāb) is an Iranian city in the Savadkuh in the Mazandaran province. The city has about 11,239 residents (estimate within a radius of seven kilometers from the city center) and is located at an altitude of 595 meters. [1]
The city is known for its existing coal mines. In 1954, a strike of coal workers downcast.
The area is easier to repeated earthquakes, for example, recently two quakes of 1.3 and 2.0 on the Richter scale (in 12 and 10 meters deep), 16 In May 2007, the center three and 17 kilometers from Zir-ab was removed.
