Welcome!

Hello, Zelfirelli, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  However, Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Brendan 05:05, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Again, please do not remove the template. An admin will examine the article and make a decision shortly. Thank you. Brendan 05:09, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
There's really no need to keep removing the tag; if the article deserves to be kept, or to go to articles for deletion instead of being speedied, that's what will happen. However, repeatedly removing such a tag can be seen as vandalism, so please stop. Thanks again. Brendan 05:22, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding Mona Lisa

I took the liberty of removing the following sentence from your second edit of Mona Lisa:

The Mona Lisa only became popular because a rich man who commissioned Leonardo to paint this picture of his wife carried the portrait all over the world. Basically, it's popular for being popular.

While this is interesting, it would really help if you had some sort of documentation or source for this remark. Otherwise, it becomes trivia, and can be seen as a distraction from the article.

[edit] Notability of Rho Kappa

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Rho Kappa, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Rho Kappa seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Rho Kappa, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
