Baseball The Brampton Pro Golf Midget Royals represented Ontario at the national championship in Trois Rivieres, Que., emerging with the Canadian Midget title. The team went undefeated in the tournament, taking out New Brunswick 9-2 in the finals.

Lacrosse The Brampton Excelsiors ended its season with a bang, losing in Game 7 of the Eastern Canadian Major championship to the Peterborough Lakers. The game, held on August 31, ended with a close 11-9 final score.

The Brampton Masters Lacrosse Club was victorious in its quest for the Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA) Provincial A Senior Masters title, defeating the Toronto Beaches team 4-3 in the final.

Rugby Brampton Beavers under-21 rugby squad squashed Balmy Beach 7-3, to claim the provincial club championship. The team is placed in the middle of the league table.

Soccer Brams United Girls Soccer Club Dragons under 12-all-star team trounced its opponents, winning 1-0 against its Barrie rivals to earn its third tournament title of the season.

The Unionville Milliken Allstar Tournament went to the Brampton Blades boys under-7 Allstars. The team beat hosts Unionville Academy 7-0 in the final, despite losing the opening game against the same team.

Swimming Congratulations to COBRA Swim Club’, who took the silver medal in the 200-metre backstroke at the recent Club Nationals in Winnipeg, Man.
