Zofingen is a city in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland, with a population of 10,534 (as of 2006). The municipality has an area of 11.07 km². It is the capital of the district of Zofingen. Zofingen is a walled city and home of an ancient monastic settlement. The largest employer is Siegfried Ltd, a manufacturer for the pharmaceutical industry. It is also the headquarters of Muller Martini, a global company that manufactures print finishing systems.

The town was founded in 1201 by the counts of Frohburg. Its old town and city hall are listed as a heritage site of national significance.[1]
