[edit] The Developing Answer to Everything
The old 2006 'Control' religion ended a long time ago. Now, it has been eaten by the latest religion called 'Sentiency'. It proposes that there are six levels of sentience, in its true meaning - the more sentient a being is, the more sensitive it is also. These 'levels' are irrelevant to all readers however. What is relevant is 'dissentience', which is the opposite, and is a measure of a being's soul, for want of a better word. This quantity is measured in 'devo' (and yes, this is a slight reference to the meaning of Devo (devolution), as higher sentience comes with more evolution (and therefore less devolution). Values range from 0 devo to as high as they want (which may stop at 3 or 4 devo or maybe more - this is the point at which it becomes an unsolvable mystery). However, unsolvable mysteries do not need to be solved for satisfaction of knowledge to occur. The category of devo is that flora in all its meanings, be it plants, protozoa, bacteria, etcetera, have more than or equal to 3 devo. Things commonly classed as animals have between 2 and 3 devo (that is, exclusive). Then, what may be classed as 'sentient life as we know or imagine it' have from 1 to 2 devo (that is, inclusive). All beings have different devo values, which is what makes them differ so much in their actions (although flora may be an exception but this is the same unsolvable mystery mentioned above). Obviously, nothing at present has devo less than one, and therefore cannot be described by me since I don't invent things off the top of my head unless they are category names, which is the same reason that anything has a name in the first place.
Sentiency exists to 'solve the deepest mysteries imaginable'. Only those mysteries that can always be accepted as 'unimaginable' are not solved - and everyone who understands would definitely agree that there is no way of solving them even with the best imagination. In fact, these mysteries have a scope of freedom for humanity.
A little sample of Sentiency is provided below.
[edit] What is the real meaning of life?
Simply to exist. That's it. You don't have to exist "for as long as possible" or anything extra. And if you are lucky enough to exist for a reasonable time, then do whatever you want to without breaking your own morals or breaking the established boundaries set by the surrounding life. This is where the independence of Sentiency comes - for example if you are forced to be a Muslim then Sentiency means you should convert, and the ideas won't conflict whatsoever. You will still know about Sentiency, 'and the knowledge that the word "Sentiency" has ever been in your mind is all it takes to become a permanent member of the Sentiency religion'. Thanks for joining forever. This religion coexists with everything except Atheism and can only be countered, subverted or debunked by nothing less than Fanaticism, the true indicator of dangerous insanity.
And now for something that, once understood, will at least make you an Atheist surer and quicker than the book The God Delusion... Or if you have read the word "Sentiency" like now, then, deep down inside, you will be stripped bare of all religions except Sentiency itself, just like the writer here has suffered.
[edit] How can God not exist under any circumstances?
God is only God because he created the universe. To have created the universe, he would have had to exist before time existed (i.e. before there could be an infinite past, or before the start of everything). This is called a "timeless existence".
There are two plausible concepts of time:-
1 - Where time is a dimension as much as the dimensions of space, i.e. the fourth dimension.
2 - Where time is an invented idea based only on movement, i.e. it was invented by humans.
In situation 1, time is a dimension. For something to exist, it has to have values in all dimensions (in this case: width, height, length and duration). Anything timeless would have no duration, and therefore would simply not exist whatsoever.
In situation 2, time is measured by things moving. It is thereby worked out by the formula "time = distance, divided by speed" (instead of the speed being derived from time, the time is derived from speed). If no time passed, the only options would be to move either zero distance or move at infinite speed.
Moving at infinite speed is different from teleporting. Imagine a thing moving at infinite speed - it would be at its starting position at the same time as its finishing position and at the same time as all its stages between start and finish. All these added up would mean it suddenly had infinite density, and it was also "spread out" along the path it took. It would become something completely different to what it was at the start (sort-of a snakey black hole that had too much mass for anything else to happen ever - in fact, its mass would be so big that the hypothetical "walls of the universe", which contain everything, would be instantly dragged in and crushed. So it is impossible for anything to move at infinite speed under any circumstances (if it could, it would have happened already somewhere in a completely different possibility, and even possibility itself would be dragged into it, and we would be crushed into it also).
That leaves the only other option:
Moving at zero distance - in a timeless existence, with infinite speed impossible, nothing can move under any circumstances, even if it is omnipotent.
So, there is indeed a maximum limit to omnipotence, and that is the rule that "nothing can break the boundaries of space and time". That rule is not just universal, but multiversal. Anything imaginable or unimaginable could never break that rule at all.
Just try it: imagine something moving where there is no such thing as time itself. You can't, and neither can the hypothetical God. (If something moves, it is obvious that it took some time to move, which proves the rule right)
In fact, most people disregard "infinity" as not existing, because it can be anything that isn't finite, and is thereby meaningless. But when I talk of infinity, I mean what you get when you divide a finite quantity by zero, whether it is "meaningless" or not.
