[edit] Aozora Bunko

You moved this graph -- Image:Open rights group.jpg -- in the context of Open Rights Group; and it causes me to hope you may have seen a more readable version? I get the point, of course, without being able to read the small print ..., which is what graphic images are supposed to achieve. However, I'm uncertain about copying it to Aozora Bunko. Plausibly, this graph could be relevant and helpful in illustrating the broader implications of disputes about copyrights in Japan -- here? I suppose it could also be construed as off-topic.

Can you offer any advice about the utility of replicating this image in a Japanese context? --Tenmei (talk) 14:52, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

No I've not seen a more readable version of the graph, if anything the landscape of digital right in the UK has gotten more complex. So I don't think you will find a simpler version.

I don't think having the image on the Aozora Bunko page would help that much given how UK centric the content is. Linking to the article about the Copyright Term Extension Act from the US and the Gowers Review of Intellectual Property in the UK would maybe better examples of how the debate over copyright is happening globally not just in Japan. Permission culture and Creative Commons may also be worth talking about as other ways of using copyright.

Hopefully at least some of this is useful
