ZhayTee (Joseph Toscano) is a Worcester, MA-based composer who releases his music under the Creative Commons Attribution-No Derivative Works 3.0 License. ZhayTee writes in varying genres, mostly preferring the piano and the synthesizer, but is perhaps best known as a game music composer; His work appears in a Half Life 2 modification called Minerva: Metastasis as well as the computer game Tux Racer. In 2002 he briefly gained widespread attention when the gaming news site IGN discovered and publicized the demo song ZhayTee had recorded as part of a declined bid to compose the music for the GCN game Metroid Prime.
ZhayTee is unrelated to the Australian anarchist Joseph Toscano.
