Zedelgem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the villages of Aartrijke, Loppem, Veldegem and Zedelgem proper. On January 1, 2006 Zedelgem had a total population of 21,835. The total area is 60.34 km² which gives a population density of 362 inhabitants per km².

Zedelgem and the surrounding area was home to a number of POW camps towards the end of World War II. The camps were disbanded and prisoners released after the war.
