(1899 - )? Does this need updating, or has Mayani been alive up until recently? Copey 2 00:58, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Ther isnt a single source wich dissmises the theory of albanian etruscan connectionTrojani 06:49, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think there is a single source which supports that theory...! --Macrakis 10:59, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
What source did you find that Enver Hoxha supported Mayanis theory? stay on topic and do not bring Hoxha into the debateTrojani 13:54, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Mr Greek PHD, "people are not definitely known, but data drawn from history and from linguistic, archaeological, and anthropological studies have led to the conclusion that Albanians are the direct descendants of the ancient Illyrians and that the latter were natives of the lands they inhabited"http://www.britannica.com/eb/article-42640/Albania Hre are over 27 sources wich reffer to Alexander the Great as part Albanian(Illyrian)http://alexanderthegreat.wordpress.com/.Trojani 14:03, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
The Albanian Pelasgian connection is supported by this, among many others, French author Robert D´Angeley, se his work on Albanians and Pelasgians;

[edit] Notability
This is a coatrack article discussing Albanian nationalism or the Origin of the Albanians, not M. Mayani. No notability for the biographical article is established. Cite Mayani at the relevant articles on Etruscan or Albanian history. dab (𒁳) 16:58, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
I've been saying for a while that Mayani should be cited in the article on Etruscan language - for some reason, people are less willing to include him than Alinei, who seems to have an even weaker case <duck brickbats>. That said, if Mayani is not notable, why is Alinei? And Bonfante? Because they wrote more books...? Let's have some consistency! Jpaulm (talk) 15:27, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
