[edit] Origin
This article originally comes from my Everything2 contribution. -- Emperorbma 23:52, 27 Dec 2003 (UTC)
[edit] Metal Machine Music
Metal Machine Music is one of the largest Zoids RPG's out there and has every right to be linked to. While I keep on adding it to the list of external links, someone keeps on removing it. I would please request that whoever this is please stop. -- CW3 9:41, 11 Nov 2005 (CST)
[edit] V-Bots
Don't the Zoids constantly wage war against another group of robots called V-Bots? → JarlaxleArtemis 01:25, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)
Not in any canonical zoids story. Btw, kudos to whoever did this recent update to the story section!
[edit] Creating new Zoids articles
I'm slightly dissapointed by the lack of Zoids articles on Wikipedia. To counter this, I have put together a list of Zoids articles I think Wikipedia needs. Have a look at User:Saberwyn/Zoids to-do, make any suggestions, and have a play with any articles you feel like working on.
Thanks in advance, Saberwyn 09:51, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Zoid Biology
Deleted the section; not only was it poorly written and poorly placed, it combined contradicitry elements from the anime and battle sotry as well as fan speculation.
Might wok if spun off into its own aricle, however. --220.233.23.38 22:39, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
- Might work if we knew where the heck it was sourced from. The material sounds suspiciously like fanspec to me. Saberwyn 09:47, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
- It's basically a mix of stuff from the various Animes, the Battle Story, and Magna, with some fan sepculation holding it loosly together. Arosaurer
- So, in, seperate article, or out? My vote's out. Saberwyn - The Zoids Expansion Project 20:11, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
- I'd say go for a seperate atrticle, but failing that out. The problem is getting reliable translated data --202.92.76.129 22:52, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] I wasn't aware there was this little zoids community in wikipedia
Heh, I come primarily from the big three zoids sites.
Zoids Evolution Forums Zoids GC Forums Phenotype Forums
I wasn't aware there was this little thing going on in wikipedia with zoids.
I want to let most of you of you know that one of the big zoids information sites, zoids evolution has officially stopped being updated, in fact it used to consist of 2 pages for months until the domain expired a few days ago. I’m going to claim the domain, and then try to restart it somehow. I even asked the original webmaster who I know well enough and she said it was ok.
I’ve already gotten some support from the site’s forums,
If you would help out, that would be great.
Shameless self-advertising:
It’s kinda a zoids forum XD
---Hey, if on any information site, you can find information that we don't have, post here and post the site url plz Lord GaleVII 00:13, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Allow me to render assistance if I can?
Stumbled across this page. Not sure how exactly this format works but I come with good intentions. Anyways, I'm open to help with anything... as websites go, I own www.zoids.tk, I'd love to set something up there. Hard work doing everything on my own ;) Rhenbelz 06:12, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hello, and welcome. uhhh. sign your name with 4 "~"'s please. And thanks for the offer.Lord GaleVII 21:36, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

- Well, i checked out ur site. nice setup. Lord GaleVII 22:58, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks, it's poo. I'd hope to eventually get some allies and improve it; I certainly have the resources. It's not about turning Zoids into an RPG, just mainly making the series accessible to everyone. Screw copyright :) Any suggestions welcome, however brutally honest they may be. [edit] Anime TV series and {{TelevisionWikiProject}}
Because a large chunk of this article discusses the Zoids anime/TV series, we have included it in TelevisionWikiProject and identified it as so. Please do not remove the notification as long as there is discussion of the anime series in the article. If the discussion is separated into its own article away from the article discussing the models, then the WikiProject notice should be moved with the anime discussion, not before the creation of such an article. An article covering several areas can indeed fall under more than one WikiProject, and this one does. 147.70.242.40 23:52, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] What about the zoids videogames??
Anyone knows if there are zoids videogames?? And if there are, why they are not in this article??
- There are. See List of Zoids video games and Zoids Saga. Would personally prefer a decent level of information on the games before trying to work into this already massive article. -- saberwyn 00:38, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- In that case, shouldn't we put a link to it under the "See also" list then? Sakota 12:22, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Suggestions for improvemet
To improve the quality of the article, a few things need to happen:
- There needs to be a cutdown of the plot summary material, in particular for the anime, which is/should be covered in the specific series articles, and the UK comic, which should hopefully be built up and farmed out to Zoids (Marvel UK comic) or similar.
- Articles that can be linked from here by {{main}} or {{further}} templates going into more detail... the best articles to establish would be a Zoids (anime) overview article, the aforementioned Zoids (Marvel UK comic)
- A greater focus needs to be on the more 'physical' aspects of each branch of the franchise. **As an example, the comics. Instead of plot summaries, there should be information on release dates, contributing authors/illuatrators, tie-ins (internal-link to the appropriate model line(s)) etc.
- A section needs to be added for the games, preferablly linking out to a master article on Zoids games (which is not the List of Zoids games
-- saberwyn 12:59, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Zoids Web Comic
Shouldn't there be any mentions about it considering that it's been talked about in various zoid articles such as the Gojulas and the Red Horn? Sakota 04:40, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- There should. I don't have any information, beyond the sporadic appearance of Zoids. The user who did hasn't been around in a long time. Any help appreciated. -- saberwyn 09:55, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well one thing that I know about it (since I can bearly read Japanese), is that six of the comics are being currently being hosted on the official website for the Zoids Infinity PS2 game. You can view them by clicking on the red banner located on the bottom-right of site's main logo (The one with the words WEB in it, in case you can't read Japanese). Just by looking at it, it appears to be focusing around the conflict between two pilots from the Helic & Guylos, and their Konig Wolf and Liger Zero X. - Sakota 11:17, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Would it be worth splitting off the Marvel UK material to Zoids (comics) and then add in other comic outings? It saw the early work of various big name British comic creators for starters and it looks like it has about reached the size it can as a section. (Emperor (talk) 00:25, 10 March 2008 (UTC))
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Spideyzoids49.jpg
Image:Spideyzoids49.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:12, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] ??
Question from a Zoids/wikipedia fan. Where actually did the Battle Story come from anyways? It's not clearly stated in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.28.67.168 (talk) 20:59, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Garantula and Merda
I've been trying (to no avail) to correct the mass of links and articles that incorrectly refer to Garantula as Gargantulas and Merda as Marder. Please could whoever it is who keeps changing what I type stop doing so? Thanks. 16:43, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Dance Dance Revolution
I've noticed that in dance dance revolution, several of the songs (1998 and Brilliant 2U and probably others) feature a zoid-like animation sequence. Can someone explain? (Please use my talk page) tinlv7 18:01, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Content and Spelling
I have a few questions. Just going through the first few paragraphs, i noticed that we have a lot of British (and any other countries) spelling of recoloring. Are we sticking to American English, or doesn't it matter? Second, Is it supposed to be Customize Parts (correct spelling of customize) or Customise Parts (incorrect spelling of customize)? Lord GaleVII (talk) 21:49, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- All the british spelling is my fault... I'm Australian. -- saberwyn 01:41, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- lol ok. but is Customize "customise" in your english, too?Lord GaleVII (talk) 20:51, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes. On checking some packaging this should be changed to the 'correct' Americna spelling. -- saberwyn 23:03, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- lol ok. but is Customize "customise" in your english, too?Lord GaleVII (talk) 20:51, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
