[edit] Concrete (English is 'fluid')

I noticed your change to Concrete and thought "yeah... probable... logical, but unfortunately not right". The problem is that the word 'admixture' means both the thing being mixed into something, as well as the act of mixing it into something.

Originally it was

It is then plasticized with admixture of plasticizer and mixed after that with aggregates in conventional mixer.

You figuring it was a typo changed to

It is then plasticized with a mixture of plasticizer and mixed after that with aggregates in conventional mixer.

To change it sort of like you meant, you'd have to write

It is then plasticized by mixing with plasticizer, and mixed after that with aggregates in conventional mixer.

But even more correct could be

It is then plasticized by mixing plasticizer into it, and mixed after that with aggregates in conventional mixer.

Someone came up with a sorta shorthand way of saying this, "A with admixture of B". And it was used here so they _didn't_ have to say 'mix' twice in one sentence. At least not explicitly. (sigh) English! Veritable wars have been fought over small things like the serial comma! Shenme 08:09, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Oh dear. It's the attack of the lexicon again. In this case, I'll just leave it alone. Zian 08:12, 25 February 2007 (UTC) Zian
