ZOO Digital Group

ZOO Digital Group Plc. is a company based in Sheffield, UK that facilitates its operations between its DVD and Video Production software company ZOOtech.

The company was formed following the reverse take over of the publicly listed Kazoo by ZOO Media Corporation.

ZOOtech helps video publishers and rights owners bring content across multiple platforms, languages and territories. ZOOtech has developed tools and provides services for the video production industry that reduce the time and costs of post production.

These tools include:

  • Authoring of DVD, HD DVD, Blu-ray Disc, iPod movie, VOD, IPTV, etc.
  • Preparation of subtitles and closed captions.
  • Preparation of menus.
  • Regionalization of menus.
  • Encoding of video.
  • Version control of assets.
  • Definition of titles.
  • Specification of content for titles.
  • Definition of menu buttons.
  • Multiplexing and formatting.
  • Quality control.
  • Creation of interactive software

Kazoo is a series of technologies that contains a library of pre-built 3D models, photos, lighting sets, paints and easy GUI tools that can be used to produce 2D and 3D effects without a technical background.

This technology has been used to produce 3D and printing consumer based software packages like Home Creative Studio (HCS) and KazooStudio.

The Kazoo software originates from the company of the same name prior to the merger with ZOO.
