Zaventem is a municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant, in Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium. The municipality comprises the towns of Nossegem, Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, Sterrebeek and Zaventem proper. On January 1, 2006 Zaventem had a total population of 28,651. The total area is 27.62 km² which gives a population density of 1,037 inhabitants per km².

Brussels Airport is located in this municipality as is Brussels American School (the United States Department of Defense school).

The official language is Dutch (as everywhere in Flanders). Small local minorities consist of nationals from many European Union-countries, USA and Canada, and from French-speakers.

An old name of the municipality is Saventhem.

Railway stations in the municipality include Zaventem, Brussels National Airport and Nossegem.
