The year 1989. Everyone is familiar with King Kong. Only 4 (or even less) TV channels can be seen in USSR. Some rare soviet luckies have VCRs at their homes. They and those, who are not so lucky, can visit special kind of cinema (so called "video salons") where people watch movies on TV screens. These salons soon offer to rent VHS cassettes.

Genres offered and prefered were horror, adult movies and movies about a hero, who fights and wins against bunches and armies. Children were not allowed to be interested in first 2 genres. That is why they had nothing else but violence to be excited with. Markets, where foodstuffs and clothes were sold, also offered photos of violent heros. That is how young Soviet people could come to know how to look like.
