Early Life As a young boy, Harry was always a great athlete. He was the fastest runner in his entire school. He also was a very good student. His intellect was unmatched, and his will to win was undying. In 1951 he made the Lebanon National Cricket Team. This was right before his 19th birthday. Kids from all over Lebanon looked up to him. He was a true sports icon. Sadly in 1952, Harry's parents were both killed in a suicide bombing in Lebanon. Harry was distrought by this and did not speak to anyone for months. After months of reflection, Harry realized that the only way to overcome his pain was to play cricket professionally.
Death After his car accident in 1977 in which he lost both of his arms, Harry fell into a deep depression. Harry tried everything, from pills to isolation, but nothing worked. He seemed to be becoming more and more depressed. In January of 1980, the only thing keeping him from suicide was his wife Staza Razook. She would lavish him with love and try her hardest to keep him happy, but on February 2nd, 1980, she suffered a terrible accident. While waiting for the train, a masked gunman ran into the station and started making demands. She knew that if she did not try to escape, she would meet certain death. She decided to run. As she was running, the gun man hit her in the leg, and twice in the chest. She died instantly. When Harry found out the news, he was devistated. He realized that there was no point in living. On March 7th, 1980, Harry walked to the nearby Lake. Harry took a boat to the middle of the Lake, and jumped.
Memory His funeral was attended by 4,000 people from his home land of Lebanon. Even Harry enemy on the Cricket field came and showed his respects. Even decades after his death, Harry is being remember every 7th of March by a moment and silence and a ceremonial lighting of candles.
